Passo e Chiudo was born from the meeting of Venus Design, recently part of the QG Design Hub, and a shared desire to tell the story of architecture through its details.
During Milan Design Week, the QG Design Hub opens its doors to Passo e Chiudo, a project by Venus Design that embraces the short podcast format to explore design thinking through an element that is ever-present yet often overlooked: the door.
The format is driven by a clear intention: to make room for concise, focused reflections, moving away from the traditional interview model.
Just a few minutes to concentrate on choices, on details, on those moments in the design process that are rarely told, yet play a decisive role in shaping the quality of space.
In each episode, the participating studios are invited to share:
- when a door becomes an integral part of architecture rather than a mere function,
- how certain design decisions take shape,
- which often imperceptible details are able to influence the perception and narrative of an environment.
Episodes of Passo e Chiudo will be recorded on 22 and 23 April, from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm, at the QG Design Hub, Via Tito Speri 7, Milan, as part of the Fuorisalone programme.
A simple, direct and playful format: five minutes to show how a functional element can become a story, a threshold, a design gesture.
Because sometimes, all it takes is a door to say much more., gesto progettuale.
